Who knew that we lived on a gold mine...

of "heritage plums"???? (you were right Wendy!) So I think that I have posted before that I DO NOT possess that knack for understanding things that grow outside, a green thumb, perhaps...Yes that is NOT me! I mean if its green and has bark...its a tree, right! MiMi has tried for years to get me to "grow" things and well, it just doesn't work so good! Give me a few pictures and a book and I will scrapbook that heck out of them...however plants and such...NOT SO MUCH! Well, MiMi had mentioned that we had tons of trees on our land (that we are renting) that bear fruit (in the literal sense) We have peach trees, muskadine trees, plum trees (MiMi was wrong about this one...she told me long ago that they were cherry trees and I have since lied to a few people about that...But like I know the difference?!?!) Well this weekend (and I am not exaggerating) we have had FOUR (not one, not two, not three, BUT FOUR) different strangers walk to the door and ask if they can pick PLUMS out of our trees...The first woman offered to pay for them (and we so politely declined...after the fourth person asked to pick them, we were alittle irritated at ourselves---we could've been RICH...okay by a couple of dollars, but gas is expensive these days, every dollar helps!) and mentioned that they were some sort of "heritage plum" that are very rare and hard to find these days! Who knew? I have researched plum and don't really know what she was talking about, so if any of you have green thumbs (or green thumb knowledge) please leave a comment and explain...We know I need all the help I can get in this area! AND if you are in our area (which is highly unlikely, but possible) feel free to stop by and pick a few plums...Believe me we have PLENTY!!

Yes...this is one of the FOUR that decided to pick plums from our trees...That's just FUNNY!

Did they make sure there were no worms? My green advice to you is to spray them things for bugs- THEN pick and sell them for moolah!

And yes, I am a little more jealous now! I want fruit trees!

I knew it - it was actually very yummy (minus the white worm :-) - but that was prob because Abbi picked it up off the ground). I will ask my dad - he for some reason knows about trees a lot?????

that is hilarious and my girls still talk about miss wendy eating a worm. Once while we were eating dinner and the maggot talk was too much for me.
