Hayride...Candy Stops...

an annual tradition out at the farm around Halloween Time...Brenly looks forward to this activity year round and this year was no different...We actually did it the Sunday after halloween, so Friday night (halloween night) Brenly said..."So where is the hayride?" Kris and Amanda always do a great job of planning it and getting it all together...this year we took a hayride sown to "the bottoms" and actually cook hot dogs over the fire and then had s'mores for dessert...every so often we would come to a candy stop in hanging from the trees and the girls and Brody would get to dive into a bag of candy and eat until their little hearts content! The day was beautiful and we had a great time. Thanks to the McCord's for inviting us out and going out of your way to make sure that the Hayride, Candy Stop was a huge hit...as always!

Pumpkin Carvin...

I almost forgot to post it! Brenly got to carve her very own pumpkin this year..and she was SOOO excited...she got to use a real knife and everything...I was very apprehensive...because if she is anything like her mother...she was bound to cut herself! I am happy to say that she is much better with a knife than I am and her pumpkin turned out precious...She decided that she would draw on Avery's pumpkins "since she is just a baby"! Here are the pictures from our pumpkin carvin evening!

Happy Halloween!

It was a busy Friday...We had lots of people to visit...and we made it, but we were worn out afterwards! I went to go get the girls after work and we headed to visit with Great Granddaddy! We left there and went to Mullins Station Baptist Church where Auntie (Misty) and family go to church...Auntie was in charge of getting the Trunk or treat together for her church and she did a fabulous job! Everything turned out great and we were glad that we could join them...Afterwards we went to spend the night with Gran and Papooh...there was NO way we were going back to Bolivar! Hope everyone else had a Happy Halloween as well!

Halloween with Boops...

...Baylee Boops that is! The Sunday before Halloween we went with Chad, Ronni and Baylee to a fall festival at their church! The girls got dressed up in their cheerleading uniforms and we were off to have a fun night...trunk or treat, "fishing" for candy, hayride, cakewalk, water gun games...Lots of fun for all! Thanks Uncle Chad, Aunt Ronni and Baylee for inviting us! We love spending time with all of you!

The circus???

Last night we were getting the girls ready for bed and Brenly was playing with one of Ray's baseball caps. She was taking it and flipping it in the air and trying to catch it...she finally thought that she had mastered such a talented skill...so we wanted to "perform" for us...She got our attention and proceeded with "her show" and afterward she mumbles, "Oh man, ya'll are just gonna have to turn me over to the circus!"
Ray and I laughed SO hard. Where in the world does she come up with this stuff?!

Corruption of my oldest child...

and it's my brother's fault! Chad L-O-V-E-S Alabama football and always has...tried for YEARS to get me to love them and just never fell head over hills in love with them like he wanted me too! And because of that, he has decided to corrupt my children instead! (Notice than Brenly has a Tennessee cheerleader uniform on with Uncle Chad's Alavama hat!)
It was the night of the Tennessee/Alabama football game and Ray had to work...So it was me and the girls at home...I told Brenly that it was time to check the score of the game...This was our conversation that followed:
Me: Oh man, Alabama is REALLY beatin Tennessee
Bren: YES! (with much excitement)
Me: What do you mean, YES!
Bren: I LOVE ALAVAMA (yes, she replaces the "b" with a "v")
Me: NO, you love Tennessee
Bren: Nuh-uh..Uncle Chad, Aunt Ronni and Baylee Boops love Alavama...so I do too!
Me: I don't think so
Bren: (proceeding to sing LOUDLY) Tennessee is losin. Alavama is winnin. Tennessee is losin. Alavama is winnin!

I am no loner talking to her and I immediately pick up the phone to cuss my brother out. God has given Him his OWN child to corrupt...why does he have to take mine down with them?
I explain the story to Aunt Ronni and she is LOVING it! She proceed to tell me brother and he has the biggest smile on his face (it always was his job, to do whatever necessary to make sure that he got under my skin...at all times...SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE!)

So I get off the phone..and Brenly is still making up songs and dances about...Tennessee is losin, Alavama is winnin!

A few minutes later...Brenly asks, "Mommy, What team do you think Jesus loves?" I was laughin so hard on the inside, trying to hold my laughter in ask, "Well, Bren...what team do YOU think Jesus loves?" Her response:

OH JESUS DEFINITELY LOVES ALAVAMA!!! ALAVAMA IS HIS FAVORITE!

Is it not enough that you turn my child against her roots, but that you would incorporate Jesus with it and get Him on your team as well!

Krotzer says that it is time to get her a new translation of the bible...for she is sure that Jesus never spoke about lovin ALAVAMA!!!

Thanks bubba for ruining a perfectly good child!!
