Ty is getting big...

and he is absolutely precious...we went over to their house recently and I had to snap a few pictures while we were there!

They have gotten used to one...

and now they want one...We had the privilege of "dog-sitting" for a sweet friend of ours while she was away on a cruise...(I definitely think she got the better end of the deal ;) and the girls fell in love with her...They both have been asking for a dog, and we have held out for about as long as we could, but this last dog-sitting adventure sealed the deal....



needless to say, Daddy has been researching the issue!

We will survive...

and it only took 8 swim lessons to realize that swimming is not that bad! She has FINALLY warmed up to the fact that she "likes" (be clear that I did NOT use the word LOVE)and she actually made it through a lesson with NO tears! I am proud of her, not because she is a swimmer but because she has overcome some of her fear of water!












Can you tell from all these pictures that she still doesn't like water on her face?!?! :)

I'm NOT gonna love Him!

So Avery HATES swim lessons and anything remotely related to water...I mean, she takes a bath every night, but that is the extent to her liking the water! The other day we were going to swim lesson and she says, "If I love Jesus, will he push me in the water?" I looked at her with a very puzzled look and asked what she was talking about! She quickly replied with the same exact question, "If I love Jesus will He push me in the water..and will He hold me under the water?" Still not understanding where she is coming from, She said (very frustrated I might add, that I didn't get it the first two times!...she is red headed, ya know!) "If I love Jesus will I have to get Apple-tized?" (meaning Baptized!) I had to silently chuckle as I tried to explain the reason and meaning behind baptism...We went over all it and at the end of my explanation she said, "I am just not gonna love Him, and I won't have to go under water!"
Bless her heart..Do you think that we have traumatized her with swim lessons...Not only does she hate the water, but now she is questioning whether or not she is gonna love Jesus BECAUSE of not wanting to go under water...
But she is only 3 and has since started to "like" the water just alittle bit...Perhaps now she will realize that she DOES like the water and that she CAN LOVE Jesus!! We are having great spiritual conversation at my house, even with my 3 year old!

And the Swim Lessons continue...

...and she still HATES them! In fact, with each class, the hatred grows! It starts off good and things quickly move from bad to worse...Take a look for yourself...

Trying to figure it out...

So I got an amazing camera for Mother's Day...the only problem...NOT real sure how to use it! But I am certainly do enjoy trying to figure it out!

My precious husband gave this most awesome camera to me for Mother's Day! We have been looking at cameras recently (the lens on our other camera broke and we were going to have to pay alot to send it off to get it fixed!) but I REALLY didn't want to spend the money on this one! However my husband decided that I needed it for Mother's Day! AND I LOVE IT! Thank you my precious family for loving me...I am so honored to be a mother to our angels from heaven!

Kindergarten is coming to a close...

BUT I feel like she just started! I can't believe that Brenly's first year of school is almost over! We are so proud of her and all that she has accomplished this year! She is reading like crazy, doing math problems, her writing has improved tremendously and she has made so many new friends! I don't like that time is passing so fast, but it has been neat to see her grow so much over the past 9 months! Last Friday was the end of the year Kindergarten program! It was so precious and I must admit that I shed a tear or two!!
